Meet Hannah, Our Program Coordinator
About Us
Who We Are
School of Sociability helps kids and teens build confidence, strengthen social skills and form meaningful connections through personalized, practical coaching.
“I studied child development and knew early on that I wanted to work directly with young people in a meaningful way. When I found School of Sociability, the mission immediately resonated with me — the structured approach, the focus on practical social skills and the genuine care for every student.
As Program Coordinator, I now have the opportunity to work with kids and families who are invested in real growth. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.”
meet Our COACHES
Susan
Susan brings a background in child and youth care to her work at School of Sociability, with a strong understanding of how young people grow, communicate, and build relationships. That foundation shapes how she coaches: structured, intentional sessions where students practise real social skills in a way that feels encouraging, practical, and responsive to their individual needs. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, painting, and catching live music around the city.
Blake
Blake brings a background in social psychology to her work at School of Sociability, with a strong interest in how individualized support helps young people grow socially at their own pace. That perspective shapes his coaching: sessions built around SSOC's structured methodology, adapted to each student's stage of development, strengths, and goals. Outside of work, she enjoys soccer, hiking, and spontaneous road trips.
Fred
Fred brings a strong academic foundation in communication and social psychology to his work at School of Sociability, with a particular interest in how people connect, communicate, and develop social behaviours. He applies that background in a practical way, helping students better understand social situations and build skills they can use with greater confidence in everyday life. Outside of work, Fred enjoys documentaries, basketball, and trivia nights with friends.
Gilbert
Gilbert brings a research-informed background in group dynamics and social cognition to his work at School of Sociability, with a deep understanding of how people connect, interpret social situations, and develop a sense of belonging. He applies that knowledge in a practical, patient way, helping students build awareness, confidence, and stronger social skills over time. Outside of work, Gilbert enjoys chess, reading, and long walks around the city's galleries.
Our coaches combine experience in social development with warmth, patience and relatability. We create supportive relationships where kids and teens feel comfortable practising, making mistakes and building confidence.
Connection Matters
Meaningful relationships support well-being, confidence and growth.
Every Child Is Different
We honour each child's strengths, pace and individual needs.
Why We Started
School of Sociability was created around a simple belief: social skills can be learned. We saw how challenging it can be for kids and teens to build confidence, navigate friendships and feel at ease in everyday social situations. We're here to provide personalized guidance, purposeful practice and real-world tools that help young people connect, belong and thrive.
“Every child deserves support, encouragement and the opportunity to build meaningful connections.”
What We Believe
Families Are Partners
We work together to help new skills carry into everyday life.
Small Steps Count
Lasting progress develops through practice, encouragement and consistency.
Building social skills.
Building confidence.
Building friendships.
At School of Sociability, we believe every child has the potential to grow. Our structured program gives kids and teens real, practical tools, from starting a conversation to navigating friendships. As those skills develop, so does their confidence. And with confidence comes connection: the kind that extends into everyday life.
Personalized
We tailor support to each child's strengths, challenges and goals.

Our approach draws on research and established practices in social learning, communication and child development.
