What We Do
The ABC Method
A simple, supportive framework for building social confidence.
Our ABC Method helps kids and teens develop practical social skills they can use in everyday life. We focus on awareness, skill building, and real world connection in a way that feels clear, supportive, and achievable.
A - Awareness
Notice feelings, thoughts, body cues, and what's happening in a social situation.
→
C - Connect
Use those skills in real life to build confidence and meaningful connection.
B - Build
Practice specific skills with structure, encouragement, and repetition.
Social Awareness
Reading cues, noticing patterns, and understanding situations.
How the ABC Method Works
→
Awareness, Build, Connect is the framework at the heart of everything we do at School of Sociability. It reflects how social growth happens: first by understanding what is happening, then by developing practical skills, and finally by using those skills to form meaningful connections.
We built our program around these three stages. Awareness helps students notice their feelings, behaviours, social cues, and patterns. Build gives them the opportunity to learn and practise specific skills with guidance and encouragement. Connect helps them apply those skills in real conversations, friendships, and everyday situations.
The ABC Method gives students a clear path forward. They learn to better understand themselves and others, strengthen the skills they need, and approach social situations with greater confidence. Over time, this process can help connection feel more natural, manageable, and meaningful.
